RFID Solutions for Spas & Wellness

RFID Transponders for Spa Towels, Robes and Wellness Textiles

RFID towel and robe tracking helps spas, gyms, wellness centers and thermal facilities control premium textile assets and identify unreturned items before they leave the property.

Unlike hotel linen, spa and wellness textiles frequently follow a day-use cycle: towels and robes are issued when guests arrive and are expected to be returned before departure. In high-throughput facilities, missing items can accumulate quickly and are often discovered only during a later inventory count, when it is too late to recover them.

Each towel or robe carries a small Datamars LaundryChip™. RFID reading points capture items automatically when they are issued, returned or carried through selected control areas. When integrated with the facility’s management or checkout software, these read events can help staff identify items that have not been returned while the guest is still present.

The same RFID infrastructure also provides accurate information about how many textiles are available, issued, in circulation, awaiting laundry or missing. This helps prevent shortages during peak periods and reduces manual counting between shifts.

Datamars RFID tags are thin, soft and virtually undetectable, preserving the appearance and feel of towels and bathrobes while withstanding repeated industrial washing.

Explore how RFID tracking improves visibility, loss control and lifecycle management for towels, robes and other reusable textiles.
