Datamars Textile ID brings the next generation of RFID textile traceability to EXPODETERGO International 2026

Lamone, Switzerland – September 28, 2026 – Datamars Textile ID will be at EXPODETERGO International 2026, taking place from October 23 to 26 at Fiera Milano Rho, Italy, where the company will showcase its latest RFID developments for professional textile care.

Visitors can meet the Datamars team in Hall 3, Stand N22 P25 and experience how RFID can connect textiles and their data across the full operational lifecycle, from tag application and digital assignment through laundry processing, sorting, inventory and distribution.

What’s new at EXPODETERGO 2026

At the center of this year’s showcase will be the new LaundryChip™ Generation 5, a patented technology that introduces a significant change in the way the chip module is attached to the RFID tag.

While previous LaundryChip™ generations use an adhesive patch, Generation 5 uses glue to attach the chip module. This technical innovation creates greater flexibility in how RFID tags can be manufactured and integrated into textiles, opening the way to applications that were previously difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional LaundryChip™ construction.

The first results of this new technology will be presented at EXPODETERGO. LaundryChip™ on Label makes it possible to integrate RFID directly into the textile care label during manufacturing, while the Gamma Resistant LaundryChip™ FT501-GAM extends RFID identification to healthcare and cleanroom applications requiring gamma sterilization.

These are the first two applications enabled by Generation 5, with further developments already possible thanks to the new technology.

Visitors will also be able to experience Twinify, Datamars’ cloud-based Digital Twin platform. Twinify automates RFID tag assignment from the beginning of a textile’s life, linking each physical LaundryChip™ to product-specific information and creating a secure Digital Twin in the cloud. At EXPODETERGO, Twinify will be demonstrated together with the UHF Stack Reading Station, showing how RFID assignment can be integrated into an accurate and controlled workflow for textile manufacturers and laundries.

Also on display will be the UHF CAB 301, the latest evolution of Datamars’ well-established four-door automatic RFID cabinet, a flagship reading solution that has been used for years in industrial laundry environments. The updated CAB 301 builds on this proven concept with a new generation designed for high-performance bulk reading on both the soil and clean sides.

A complete RFID laundry workflow, live at the booth

Beyond these latest developments, the Datamars booth will bring together a broad range of technologies to demonstrate how the different components of an RFID system work together across real textile workflows.

The live setup will include the UHF Portal 201 for trolley reading, the SortiCart mobile sorting system, the compact LiteCab 101 S, complete HF and UHF tabletop reading configurations, the UHF Stack Reading Station, a patching machine for RFID tag application, the A-Gate, and the LNG antenna.

Together, these stations will allow visitors to see RFID in action across different stages of textile management, including tag application and assignment, soil check-in, sorting, bulk identification, clean-side processing, check-out and inventory management.

Rather than looking at each RFID component in isolation, visitors will be able to explore how LaundryChips™, reading systems and software can be combined according to the textile type, application and operational environment, helping laundries and textile service providers automate processes, improve inventory visibility, reduce textile losses and obtain more reliable item-level data.
